RACCOON BUTT!!

~This little fella was strolling through our yard last weekend like he didn't have a care in the world! Of course when he caught sight of Denny with the camera, he hightailed it for the neighbors house and then up a tree in their backyard!

He/She had a really big butt which I found oddly amusing!

~Misty and Wags~

~This is Misty and her friend Jeff Wagner {"Wags"} wearing their sweet "2006" glasses that I got them for Graduation!

YAY! We finally have our HOME Track back!

~This is ME doing what I do best, which is freezing my ass off at an early-season Track meet!!

We bundle up in layers of clothing with blankets and a cup of hot chocolate or coffee is a MUST HAVE at all times!

It was pretty chilly at this, our very FIRST meet on our brand new Home Track, but there have been many times in past years when the blowing wind, snow and/or rain kept us wrapped up in trash bags and running to the truck in between events for warmth!

Us Track Parents are one tough bunch!! HA!

"Pavlov's Dogs"!!!

~Misty's hurdle team broke the school record 3-times so far this season and they had a whole article in the Marietta Times! She was also named "Student Player Of The Week"!!

Finally someone recognised the hurdlers!! We were very proud!

The Times quoted her as saying "We set individual goals as well. That's what the candy down there is for. If we get our goal, we get our candy. We're like "Pavlov's dogs"

I thought that was funny and really quite a unique thing to say! So now my new nickname for her hurdle team is "Pavlov's Dogs"!! Haha!!

State Of Confusion!!!

Well, I tried to find a good picture on "Yahoo" that would best illustrate how I've been feeling lately but apparently only CATS get this stressed out and...well...I'm not a cat!! Haha!!
I guess I could have put the one on here of the cat with it's fur standing straight up....oh well....

Anywho....It's been pretty hectic around here but I knew it was coming! Things were just going too smoothly and I've always said our lives are a series of "one step forward, two steps back"!!
I get up every morning with the intent of getting soo much accomplished, compiling list upon list and scratching off things as I do them. I cannot seem to get any ONE thing completely done and out of the way though, but have many things started at least!
Misty's college stuff is starting to get complicated and we are down to the real nitty-gritty stuff like housing and roommate requests, choosing a meal plan and having to send some real money their way.
We are headed up June 19, 20 and the 21 for Orientation and Misty will get to spend her very first night in her dorm room! That should be quite exciting and hopefully we will get alot of our questions answered as well.
She will be starting her first college quarter September 17 and that time will be here before we know it!

I am also starting to get her Graduation stuff together and think I might have figured out a good plan for a party!! I decided on an OSU Tailgate-themed party and am already getting lots of fun ideas together! It will be a sort of "open house" type party with family and friends coming and going for a couple hours, grilled hotdogs, chips and probably a cooler of soft drinks and BEER! {Hehe!! Yes, I plan to get sloshed after everyone leaves!! By then, I think it shall be well deserved!!}

Humm...let's see....I guess I should probably mention the fact that my Dad is still not doing well at all. I had really, really hoped he would be well enough by now to attend his granddaughters graduation and watch her receive her Honors cord, but if not that, at least well enough to understand or even care what a big deal this is to me/us.
I basically spend way too much time thinking about him, wishing he was well and even more time just really pissed off at the whole situation!!!

I know I need to stop doing that.

Well...I refuse to end this entry on such a sour note, so I will follow with several picture updates!! ~*EnJoY*~
