Photo Of Denny And I Way Back When!

~I found this old photo of Denny and I taken at his parents house when we were first dating! I think it is probably somewhere around 1983 or '84 and we were getting ready to go out for the evening on his motorcycle! {Hence the cool leather jackets!! Haha!!}

~Gosh!! We look soo young!! Damn!! I wish we could go back to those carefree days and nights...Well, maybe just for alittle while!~

~*Well, not much new happening around here except trying to get "stuff" done in between the many rain and thunderstorms we've been having, buying stuff for Misty to take to college with her {I'm soo jealous! She always gets all the fun stuff!!! Grrr!}, worrying about my Dad, and watching Israel and Lebanon blow the crap out of each other...not to mention wondering who will nuke us first, Iran or N. Korea!!

BlahHH! The world is in such a sad state of chaos and yet, if I turn off the TV I find myself preoccupied enough to not worry as much as I used to about such things because I know there is really nothing I can do about it! I might as well enjoy my time here on this little speck we call "Earth", love my family and what will be will be!

That brings me to my conclusion, which is.....I am sooo freaking READY to go on vacation NOW!!!
Sun in my eyes...sand between my toes...waves crashing into the shore...watching the sunset with my loves...walking the beach in the morning looking for shells...eating fresh seafood and drinking cold beer...drinking my coffee on the deck in the morning before anyone else is up and catching that first glimpse of ocean...the neverending ocean breeze!!!

~These photos were taken the last time we went on a family vacation about 3-years ago when Misty was 16. The first is Denny, Misty and I on Huntington Beach {about 8-miles out of Myrtle Beach, SC} which is a lovely little secluded spot free of all the touristy crap you'll find at Myrtle! The second photo is one of the courtyards at my favorite place, "Atalaya", which is like stepping back into time in some Spanish castle far away! There is no guided tour and I love taking my time walking around and imagining what it was like to actually live there so long ago. There is a big, brick porch on the backside that faces the ocean and a wandering path leading to the beach. It must have been amazing to sit and watch the sun set or storms on the horizon!

~We have made plans in early August to go on our last family vacation before Misty starts college and I am getting so excited to spend some time together and relax!!! We're staying in Garden City Beach near Murrells Inlet and alot more laid back than the Myrtle Beach area!
