New Painting!

~I have wanted to do a painting of Sammy for years so here is my first attempt at capturing him on canvas!....


*This is a "before" shot and here is the finished painting with the Amazon jungle folliage background!....

{His neck seemed a little long but I wanted it to look like he was crooning his head....Also, I had alot of trouble getting the shading just right on his beak! There are so many colors you don't usually see unless you look at it real closely...tans, grays, and black mainly.}


*My biggest "critic" checking out his portrait! Haha!! He seemed to think Daddy's leather chair would be more appealing!!

The "Make It All Better" Ducks

~So, when I'm feeling really down and like the whole world is resting on my shoulders, the best place I know is to go visit the ducks at Buckeye Park!!


~All my cares seem to melt away as I watch them prance around and preen themselves!~


~The graceful Geese as they calmly walk down to the waters edge~


~The humor of a really crazy hair-do!~


~Or a new-found friend that comes to sit at your feet and rest!~


~Such a sweet face!~
