~I found this video of Sammy I had saved on another site and must have watched it about 50-times!

As it gets closer to February and the day I had him put down, I find myself thinking of him more and more and going through alot of the emotions I thought had subsided long ago.

I thought getting another Amazon would make everything "OK" but will be the first to admit I was wrong and Mikko can never replace the bond Sammy and I had.

I just miss him sooo much and especially putting my face into his fluffed up feathers and loving on him! It is a saddness that I have never felt before and hard to describe in words...to know that something I held that dear could be taken from me so quickly.

MY "BUCKET LIST"....

~This is something I have wanted to post for a long time...every since I saw the movie actually!
So, here are some things I would like to do before I "kick the bucket"....

1) I would like to live by water someday!

(Preferably a beautiful lake with a cabin on the shore so I can sit on my porch and look out at the water!)

2) Get over my fear of flying and visit some of the places I dream about!

*Machu Picchu in Peru!*

*Puerto Rico!*

*And Ireland!*
(*There are many other places I'd like to visit...these are just my favorites!)

3) SWIM with the Dolphins!!!

4) To actually sell some of my paintings and/or craftwork!!


5) To work with Raptors someday!


6) Check out a Strip Club! (Yes, really!! Hehe!)


7) Change someone's life / Inspire them to be a better person!

My Thoughts On A New President

~I think the caption on this photo pretty much sums up how I feel about our new President....

~I HOPE he can do all the wonderful things he promised without hurting the economy AND the American people more than we have been!

~I HOPE he bring about the change he promised...That is, a change that is GOOD!

~I HOPE we don't have to continue to hear about how he is Black! (It's kind of obvious, eh??)

~I HOPE all the ignorant people who voted for him are not too let down when they wake up Wednesday morning and nothing has changed! (He already "flip flopped" on that one, saying that "the change" won't happen right away but will take several years! People really want to believe that they will wake up Wednesday morning, the sun will be shining brightly, birds singing loudly, no worries or cares and all our pockets will be full of money!! Yeah right...and I have some beachfront property to sell you in Nevada!)

*All in all, I DO wish the new President the best of luck! I did not vote for the man but I will support him because I feel that is the right thing to do.

1) The days are shorter/nights are longer!

2) I have less energy, less enthusiasm and find myself wanting to nap on the couch more often!

3) I hate wearing so many clothes inside the house!

4) I hate bundling up in coats, hats and gloves just to go to the mailbox!

5) I had to put all my Flip-Flops away untill Summer!! (GRRrrRRRr!!)

6) We never seem to have any "really good snowfalls" like we used to! (The kind that shut down the whole town!)

7) The trees are bare and everything is brown!

8) No sitting outside on the deck, the pool is covered and Summer feels so far away!

9) My shoulders stay "haunched up" as soon as the first cold wave hits and I cannot get them to relax!

10) January seems to fly by while February and March seem to take F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!

*Only 154-days until the First Day of Summer!!!* YAYY!!

~I always kept the feathers in a vase on my desk and when I held them all in my hand, was amazed how much it felt like I was holding Sammy again!
